The decoration of the cottage was simply delightful, with a charming mix of traditional and modern elements. It made me feel right at home, especially with its cozy fireplace and comfortable furniture. The general areas were well-maintained and had a lovely ambiance, perfect for spending quality time with my family. , the accessibility of the cottage was excellent for senior people like myself. The alley to the side that led directly into the town centre made it easy for us to explore the shops, pubs, and cafes without having to worry about long walks or steep stairs. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy everything Ashbourne has to offer without any mobility issues.

The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is a dedicated staff member who could assist with the luggage. Carrying our bags from where we parked further down the narrow street was a bit challenging, especially for older individuals.
